Erika Herman, NC
For the past decade, I have studied, written about and guided others on their journeys to
optimal health and well-being. I am grateful for the opportunity to have overcome my own health issues
holistically. My personal trials have made me keenly aware of and sensitive to the emotional and psychological
influences at play in the transformational process. I regard my role as a guide with
great reverence, and both my clients’ triumphs and frustrations as beautiful
and necessary parts of an ever-unfolding story.
I am a board-certified Nutritional Consultant and Holistic Health Practitioner, and member
of the American Naturopathic Medical Certification Board, and American Association of Drugless Practitioners. I am committed to continuously furthering my education on the most cutting-edge peer-reviewed research. I also hold a degree from UCLA in Literature and Writing.
I am an incisive researcher, an engaging writer and public speaker, and have extensive
experience as a consultant for health-and-wellness publications. I have also worked with companies in the whole foods and supplement industry, consulting for product formulation, communications, marketing and branding. addition, I have been a dedicated yogi for over eight years, have completed several teacher trainings, and specialize in Yin and therapeutic yoga. I will offer yoga instruction through My Lifestyle Transformation beginning in 2014. I am also an ordained minister.
When I'm not working with clients, conducting research on health and
nutrition, doing yoga, or searching for the underlying links between Eastern
and Western paradigms, I enjoy writing, cooking, innovating recipes, Tetris, studies in neuroscience, philosophy, somatic and depth psychology, mythology, film, the arts, ecstatic and free-form dance, spending
time with friends and family, and being in nature.
